Smiles and Sunshine

See those smiles? These two were MADE to be outside. So we definitely have welcomed the sunshine and warmer weather lately. 

 

We did enjoy the winter months, don't get me wrong. We played outside as much as we could.

My favorite memory from this winter was the muddy mess Brady and Ashley became one morning after a ton of rain. The mud didn't seem to bother them much, even after falling in the puddles multiple times.

We attempted to play outside after it snowed a few weeks ago, but I've decided my babes are not snow babes. We lasted like 5 minutes. It definitely took longer for us to get dressed than we actually played outside. 

We did, however, really enjoy playing with the snow in the house, so that will become a staple in our winter play next year.

But man, when that sun came out, their true smiles came out with it. Being able to run around, soaking up the sun, that's what Brayden and Ashley live for. 

Word on the street is it could potentially snow next week again, so until then, you'll find this Schackmann family outside as much as we can!

(Oh and a house update, we have windows! And we actually have the window in in the upper gable as well, I just didn't get an updated picture from yesterday when they put that one in. I feel like things will really start to look like they are getting done here now that those are in, so stay tuned for more updates on that soon.)
