Cincinnati

Last weekend Eric and I loaded up the car to visit James in Cincinnati! He's there over the summer for work and I definitely wanted to see him before he came home. We headed that way after Eric got off work on Thursday so we would have two full days of fun with James. And we sure packed lots into our stay!

On Friday, we ate, ate, ate, and drank, drank, drank. It was a day of restaurants and breweries, which was the perfect way to spend a very warm day!

We ended Friday night with ice cream and a movie at James' apartment. Man, we're old haha!

Saturday was again filled with great food, which started with pizza since the Italian restaurant we ate at Friday night didn't serve pizza (which was what James really wanted to eat!).

We might have spent the rest of the afternoon napping and chilling at James' apartment. We wanted to be rested up for the Red's game that night! We were going to get all inclusive seats on Friday night, but we waited too long to order the tickets and Stubhub stopped selling them. So we settled for Saturday night, but opted out of the all inclusive option since it was more expensive than Friday night would have been. I thought our seats were pretty nice for 30 bucks a seat!

And I had to get a few pictures in front of part of Cincinnati's skyline. Thank goodness these boys put up with my shenanigans.

Eric and I had so much fun in Cincinnati, though we were so thankful to be home Sunday afternoon and actually sleep in a real bed, not an air mattress, that night. Thank goodness for family who welcomes us with open arms to invade their apartment for a weekend and family that looks after your puppies while you're gone. It doesn't get much better than that <3

Fourth on the Lake

This weekend Eric and I packed up and headed down to Kentucky Lake for a mini Flood family vacation. Look at the view we had from our houses!

As you can guess, we spent most of our time out on the lake. Everyone had fun tubing, skiing, wakeboarding, and floating. With cooler than normal temperatures, it was the perfect weekend all around.

Erin made it outside the wake on skis and got up on the wakeboard!

I love these girls so much! I lucked out in the sister-in-law department, that's for sure.

And of course a picture of Eric and I, with Eric looking ever so handsome in his bucket hat.

Here's Eric killing it on the skis!

And Taylor even made it up the skis, though it was very brief. Next year you'll have it on the first try!

And no Flood vacation would be complete without go carts. It only took us about 5 rides to basically get kicked out due to too much bumping and crashing (but really, isn't that what go carts are all about!?).

We couldn't have asked for a better fourth of July weekend. And we look forward to doing it all over again next year!
