Shouse Update

In my last post I made a remark about how our Lake Shelbyville trip was a much needed mini-vacation, and here's why!

My last update on Dan and Theresa's shouse showed that the insulation was up and the ceilings in the garage and house portion were hung. Since then, the roof was completed and the drywall in the house portion was put up.

Fast forward to last week. On the third of July, Dan, Theresa, Eric, my mom, and I primed the walls and ceilings in the house portion (Thank you mom for all your help!!). The morning of the fourth, we gave the ceilings one coat of paint. Since then, the walls and ceiling have all had two coats of paint (thanks Charlotte for your help on Monday!), the front door is in, the floors are stained, and the majority of the siding is up.

Talk about a productive week! Good thing too, since we have to be moved in in a little over a month!

4th of July Fun!

Ok, Ok, I know I'm a week late. No internet access at the in-laws kinda restricts my posting abilities. So you'll just have to deal with that until we move into our own place :)

Our fourth of July weekend was spent at Lake Shelbyville- and let me tell you, it was a well deserved mini-vacation (more on that later)!

We got to the lake on the Fourth late in the afternoon and hopped right on the pontoon to get our weekend started. Grandma Flood even came out on the pontoon for a bit!

Kristen- my sunbathing, bikini-wearing, drinking buddy. Couldn't survive without this girl!

Eric got out in the water doing some tubing with Kenny and a little skiing.

We ended the day grilling out, chatting with family, and watching fireworks from the house. I wish I would have had my phone during the show, it was a great one!

Day two was basically a repeat of day one, which I was completely fine with! Eric and I started our day on the pontoon again, and then made our way to the speed boat by the end of the day. Eric got in some wakeboarding, but by the time everyone was done wakeboarding and I was going to ski, the boat was almost out of gas and we had to head in. Hopefully I'll get to get up on the skis sometime this summer!

Can't forget about these beauties. So thankful that God gave me two sisters through Eric, couldn't imagine life without them!

A whole weekend full of sun, boating, drinks, and family. I sure am loving my life!
